Jeep® Performance Parts (JPP) by Mopar debuted the Awning and Rooftop Tent (ARTT) concept at Overland Expo West, a premium, lightweight camping solution designed for the Jeep Wrangler. Showcased on the Wrangler 4xe Sunchaser concept, first revealed at the 2025 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, the ARTT system redefines overlanding convenience.
Developed in partnership with Dometic and through Stellantis’ Star*Up intrapreneurship program, the ARTT concept is a low-profile, all-in-one awning and rooftop tent system tailored for the four-door Jeep Wrangler. Its carbon-fiber shell ensures a lightweight, aerodynamic design, eliminating the need for heavy roof racks by attaching directly to the vehicle’s roof.
The ARTT features Dometic’s AIR Frame Inflation technology for easy tent setup, a 270-degree swing-out awning, and space for a queen-size mattress. Unique to this system, the tent’s interior is accessible from inside the Wrangler via removed freedom panels, with a carbon-fiber step protecting the center console.
“The JPP ARTT concept is the ultimate accessory for adventure-driven Jeep Wrangler owners, whether overlanding long distances or enjoying a spontaneous weekend escape,” said Mike Koval, senior vice president and head of sales operations, Jeep brand. “We’re eager to gauge enthusiast feedback at Overland Expo West.”
The ARTT system is displayed on the Wrangler 4xe Sunchaser, a concept boasting a solar flash and satin black two-tone exterior. Equipped for multi-day adventures, it features a 2-inch lift kit, 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3 tires, a Warn winch, rock rails, and conceptual vented fender flares. The interior includes custom two-tone leather seats, a leather-wrapped console, gloss black trim, and all-weather floor mats, blending rugged capability with refined comfort.
The ARTT concept emerged from Stellantis’ Star*Up program, fostering employee-driven innovation. Partnering with Dometic, a global leader in mobile living solutions, Jeep crafted a system that enhances the overlanding experience with smart, sustainable design.
