Hyundai IONIQ 9 EV – Starry Night

Hyundai’s national marketing campaign for the all-new Hyundai IONIQ 9, titled “Space to Connect,” emphasizes the fusion of innovation and comfort to foster meaningful experiences for families and individuals. The campaign highlights the IONIQ 9, a three-row electric SUV designed to transform family mobility and digital lifestyle integration by offering an inclusive space for all passengers, regardless of seating row.

The campaign features a 30-second hero ad, “Hello, Space,” which illustrates how the IONIQ 9 unites people through its class-leading interior space, advanced technology, and versatile lifestyle features. A companion 30-second ad, “Inner Space,” will air throughout the year, focusing on the vehicle’s interior technology and range capabilities.

“The IONIQ 9 is more than a vehicle; it’s a space where life unfolds,” said Sean Gilpin, chief marketing officer, Hyundai Motor America. “With ‘Space to Connect,’ we’re showcasing how our all-electric SUV fosters connection—whether for family road trips, remote work, or moments of calm.”

The campaign includes high-profile ad placements on national TV during the NBA and NHL Playoffs, with digital video streaming on Hulu, Amazon, and Netflix. Audio and podcast ads will run on platforms like iHeart, Spotify, SiriusXM, and Pandora. Social media, online video, CRM, owned social channels, and experiential activations will further engage targeted audiences.

“The campaign ties Hyundai’s forward-thinking IONIQ 9 to its people-centric ethos, showing that innovation enhances the driving experience for all,” said Jason Sperling, chief creative officer, INNOCEAN USA. “The ethereal creative approach blends a sci-fi aesthetic with practical features like a spacious third row, which is rare in EVs.”

Most of the ad employs a “day for night” filming technique, creating an otherworldly vibe. Mars-like visuals and floating objects deliver striking, memorable imagery, giving the campaign a premium, futuristic feel.

Developed with Hyundai’s agency of record, INNOCEAN USA, and with media buys coordinated by Canvas, the “Space to Connect” campaign builds on the success of the award-winning IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6. The IONIQ 9, a premium three-row SUV, offers over 300 miles of all-electric range across all trims. Designed to “Built to Belong,” it seats up to seven and includes innovative features tailored to individual needs. With its roomy interior, sleek design, comprehensive safety features, and fast-charging technology, the IONIQ 9 suits modern family life.

The IONIQ 9 RWD S, with up to 335 miles of EPA-estimated range, starts at $60,555, including destination. All 2026 IONIQ 9 models sold in the U.S. are assembled at the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America facility in Bryan County, Georgia, and qualify for the full $7,500 federal tax credit for purchase or lease. The 2026 IONIQ 9 arrives at dealerships this month.
