GMC HUMMER EV 2026: Redefining the Electric Supertruck

The 2026 GMC HUMMER EV solidifies its position as the world’s first and only all-electric supertruck, pushing boundaries with cutting-edge software updates, unmatched off-road capability, and the introduction of the high-performance Carbon Fiber Edition. From the innovative King Crab rear-steer mode to blistering 0-60 mph acceleration in just 2.8 seconds1, the 2026 HUMMER EV is more advanced and capable than ever.

Unmatched Off-Road Agility with King Crab Mode

Leading the charge for 2026 is the all-new King Crab rear-steer mode, a software-enabled feature that takes the HUMMER EV’s four-wheel steering to new heights. Standard on 2X and 3X Pickup and SUV trims, King Crab enhances maneuverability in tight off-road environments, enabling precise navigation around obstacles and superior rock-crawling performance. By allowing the rear wheels to turn faster than the front, this mode delivers unrivaled agility unmatched by any other 4×4 on the market.

Excitingly, King Crab isn’t exclusive to 2026 models. Existing 2022–2025 HUMMER EV Pickup and SUV owners will receive this feature via an over-the-air (OTA) update later this year, fulfilling GMC’s “Mystery Mode” promise to integrate owner-inspired innovations. This OTA capability underscores the HUMMER EV’s seamless blend of hardware and software, showcasing the limitless potential of electric vehicles.

“The 2026 HUMMER EV builds on an already exceptional platform with innovative software and forward-thinking design,” said Al Oppenheiser, GMC HUMMER EV Chief Engineer. “Our commitment to OTA updates ensures all owners benefit from the latest features throughout their vehicle’s lifecycle.”

Carbon Fiber Edition: The Fastest HUMMER EV Yet

The 2026 lineup introduces the exclusive HUMMER EV Carbon Fiber Edition Pickup and SUV, a limited-production model available on 3X trims. Powered by an available 24-module battery, the Carbon Fiber Edition Pickup achieves a thrilling 0-60 mph sprint in just 2.8 seconds1, making it the quickest HUMMER EV to date. This performance leap is driven by optimized software, propulsion calibration, and advanced hardware.

Beyond speed, the Carbon Fiber Edition stands out with its bold design, featuring an exclusive Magnus Gray Matte exterior2 and Velocity Ember interior theme. Standard features include:

  • 22-inch carbon fiber black wheels with all-terrain tires
  • Carbon fiber inserts in mirror caps and skid plate
  • Black approach shield and emblems
  • Black power tonneau cover (Pickup only)
  • 22-inch spare carbon fiber black wheel (SUV only)

Advanced Technology and Capability

The 2026 HUMMER EV introduces bidirectional charging, enabling vehicle-to-vehicle3 and vehicle-to-home4 power transfer. This feature allows the HUMMER EV to charge another compatible EV or power a home during outages when properly equipped.

Enhanced Super Cruise5, the industry’s first true hands-free driver assistance system, now includes Hands on Lane Change Assist (HOLCA) and Lane Change for Route, ensuring seamless transitions across mapped and non-mapped roads. The available 24-module 3X Pickup delivers a class-leading 1,160 horsepower and 13,000 lb-ft of torque6, while optimized damper tuning improves ride quality.

The 13.4-inch diagonal GMC infotainment system features a customizable split-view screen and Google Built-In7, offering apps like Chrome, GameSnacks, and Prime Video. Powered by OnStar8, owners benefit from intelligent EV routing and voice assistance.

Refreshed Design

The 2026 HUMMER EV blends premium off-road capability with bold styling. New exterior colors—Coastal Dune and Auburn Matte9—join two new interior themes: Granite Drift and Stealth Eclipse. These additions enhance the HUMMER EV’s rugged yet refined aesthetic.
